The new year has brought many new challenges and exciting new patterns to try. I can’t write about the project I am MOST excited about because my best friend over at Emily J Photographer is the recipient of this awesomeness, well her soon to be born baby girl is, and I don’t want to ruin the surprise. So that post will have to come a little later. Sorry Emily – you know I love ya!
After finishing Emily’s project I wanted to make some hats. Hats are really missing from my shop. I have several bonnets, but no hats. Let’s face it, boys love hats, and since I’m a mom to a boy, I LOVE HATS! I had purchased a book of patterns a few weeks before Christmas because it had this divine matching sweater and hat pattern. It’s super cute and perfect for those “watch me grow” sessions or as gifts for new baby to grow with! So I took that pattern and started whipping out some of the hats in the various sizes. They come in baby, toddler and child sizes. Now that can be a little confusing so I will break it down for you.
The baby size is for newborns to about 3 months old and stretches to fit about 13.5 inches (34.5 cm). The toddler size is for 3-6 month old infants and accommodates up to about 17 inch (43 cm) head circumference. The child size is any age above that with a head circumference of about 18 inches (47 cm).
There are so many options for this hat: color combinations, coordinated or matching set colors, available individually or as the set. These hats are so versatile! They will are available now in my ETSY shop for custom order. Order sets HERE and individual hats HERE Individual hats are $15 and 3 hat set is $30. THIS SET IS READY TO SHIP so contact me now- once it’s gone all orders will be made to order! I am looking to work with a photographer in exchange for product images for this item. If interesting please first see my FAQ for policy when working with photographers and then contact me!
These hats were so fun to make. My next project is already in the works. A beautiful lacy wrap in the prettiest dark teal color. Stay tuned!
